Jose grew up in Appleton, where he began playing for the club at age 12. He started his soccer journey as a goalkeeper before eventually playing multiple positions on the field. Jose went on to play at Xavier High School, where he earned several awards during his time with the program.

After high school, Jose attended UW–Milwaukee, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree. Upon graduating, he returned to Appleton and recently began coaching with Fox Cities United.

Outside of soccer, Jose enjoys playing handball, lifting weights, and running.
